Portia is a spayed female Rottweiler with tail intact (not docked).
Her owner died and she is too much dog for his widow to care for.
She loves her family and close friends but can be protective when strangers come around. (She has growled at people)
She enjoys lots of outside time but will be your giant lap dog/ couch potato when you let her.
She loves being pet and getting baths.
She is crate trained & house trained. She rarely ever barks. (even when dogs in the neighborhood do)
She has been an only dog that stays at home & she tolerates our house cat.
For a "senior" she still quite playful & lively.
She loves all of her caretakers at the vet and has always been willing to receive their care.
She had a growth removed from her lip about a year ago & there have been no issues since.
She did experience some intestinal difficulties a while back, so she is kept on a special diet that is easier on her tummy. (Owner will give adopter an immediate supply of food AND subsidize future orders)

Her owner died and she had nobody to care for her.
This extremely sweet and gentle older girl deserves to be pampered in the later years of her life after losing her best friend!
She is so soft & has beautiful long fluffy fur that will benefit from regular brushing or visits to the groomer.
Maybe someone can give her a quiet place to get lots of hugs, stretch her legs, & be her new home.
