Be My Forever Home Animal Rescue is an all-breed, all-volunteer organization based in the Dallas/Ft. Worth area. We receive no government funding and are not funded nor assisted by any outside agency (such as United Way). Our life-saving work is supported solely by the loving contributions of individual donors.
Seeing a need for our needy 4 legged friends in this area, we formed our organization to provide them a Forever Home. We've consistently grown since our inception, all thanks to the helping hands of this amazing community!
Be My Forever Home Animal Rescue is an all-volunteer organization. Our mission is to reduce the suffering of companion animals. We focus on saving abandoned, abused, unwanted pets from harmful conditions and providing them with necessary veterinary care and a Forever Home that ensures them safety, security and love while providing a family a faithful friend who offers unconditional love and companionship.
A dog or puppy has to be killed an average of EVERY 3 MINUTES in DFW area shelters because there are too many of them and not enough good homes.
More and more people are realizing that the kind and compassionate thing to do is to ADOPT and NOT support breeders. There is no good excuse for breeding when so, so many innocent pets are dumped, abandoned, left to fend for themselves, killed waiting at shelters, etc. Breeders and people who buy from them are selfishly adding to the overpopulation crisis and therefore adding to the suffering and needless killing. Our friends in animal services don't want to kill animals, yet they are forced to because there are entirely too many without homes.
If more people adopted their next pet(s) from a shelter or rescue, instead of buying them, imagine what a difference we could make in the number of pets being euthanized.
Beyond adopting pets yourself, please support rescues and shelters any possible way you can. They need it as they are fighting an uphill battle.
If you can't adopt, FOSTER. If you can't foster, SPONSOR. If you can't sponsor, VOLUNTEER. If you can't volunteer, DONATE. If you can't donate, EDUCATE.
The crisis is true for both cats and dogs. Did you know:
7.9 million companion animals enter shelters nationwide every year.
3.9 million are dogs and 1.2 million are Euthanized every year due to a lack of space.
