☘️Lucky is a sweet old soul who was surrendered by his owners because they were moving & felt they couldn't care for him any longer.
Upon intake, he was obese, confused, & frightened. With some time in a loving foster home, he's now unafraid & at a healthy weight. He's a lab/shepherd mix & he's tall.
Lucky is SO sweet & smart! He LOVES to play fetch. He gently drops a toy or ball at your feet when he wants you to toss it up so he can catch it in the air. Then he prances back with it in his mouth.
He has good manners. He doesn't jump up on anyone & he listens well. He's housetrained, crate trained & he walks great on a leash. He enjoys the outdoors.
His previous family never socialized him with dogs. So he would likely need to be an only dog.
He enjoys having feline friends & absolutely ADORES human affection.
Lucky is neutered, fully vaccinated, heartworm tested negative & microchipped. He would love to find a forever home to spend his retirement years. Anyone would be lucky to have him as he's such a loving, loyal companion.❤️🐾🐾

Meet Loveable Emmett! ❤️
Emmett is a "gentle giant" senior dog who loves everyone. He was discovered living under a bridge in downtown Houston. He was emaciated & he couldn't see as his eyes were full of infection. A good samaritan wanted to save him, so she posted his urgent situation. Once I saw the post I knew I had to do something, so I reached out to her.
She went back to find him & he was still there, so she loaded him up & took him to a vet. They cleaned his eyes & started him on antibiotic eyedrops. We boarded him there until we could arrange transport. As miserable as he must've been, he was so sweet & cooperative & grateful from the first moment.🩵😇
Once transported to DFW, he received further vet care. After his weight was up & he was feeling good, he was neutered. His eyes & skin cleared up & his coat became shiny & soft. He tested heartworm + & he's been on the "slow kill" treatment thus far. His x-ray showed a bullet in one of his legs. It doesn't bother him, but it's infuriating to know someone shot this gentle angel of a dog.
We're so thankful & happy we were able to save this precious dog from a miserable life on the streets. He wouldn't have likely survived much longer. Emmett has the sweetest temperament & he's just so adorable. (We named him after Emmett Kelly, a talented American performer best known for his beloved, down-on-his-luck hobo clown character.)❤️🩹
Emmett gets along with all of the other dogs he has met.. young, old, big & small. He loves all people too! He's likely good around cats due to his gentle nature. He's goofy & loveable. Housetrained & crate trained. Appears to be a mastiff mix. Approx 8 yrs & 75 lbs. Huggable!
Emmett would love to find a forever home where he can live his best life! This boy is so very special & he will bring joy to any family.
